We Started Because Money Conversations Were Missing

Back in 2019, a group of us noticed something odd. People around us were making big financial decisions based on advice from random internet forums or worse—just guessing. So we started prantovexia with a simple idea: what if we could make financial awareness accessible without the jargon?

From Kitchen Table Chats to Real Programs

It actually started with weekend coffee meetups. Four of us would sit around discussing why our mates kept getting into credit card debt or why superannuation felt like a foreign language to most people we knew.

By mid-2020, those conversations turned into something bigger. We started running small workshops in Belconnen—just basic stuff like budgeting and understanding interest rates. The response was unexpected. People genuinely wanted to learn this stuff, they just needed someone to explain it without making them feel stupid.

Fast forward to 2025, and we've helped over 3,000 people across Canberra and beyond get a better grip on their finances. Not through fancy investment schemes or get-rich-quick promises, but through practical education that actually sticks.

How We Actually Do This

1

Real Talk, No Fluff

We skip the financial industry jargon. Our workshops use everyday language because understanding your money shouldn't require a finance degree. People tell us they appreciate not feeling talked down to.

2

Practical Over Theoretical

Every session includes actual tools you can use that week. Budget templates, comparison methods, questions to ask your bank. We're not here for abstract concepts—you leave with something actionable.

3

Local Context Matters

Australian financial systems are unique. We focus on superannuation, HECS debt, Centrelink benefits, and other specifics that matter here. Generic international advice often misses these details completely.

Who's Behind prantovexia

We're a small team based in Belconnen, but we've built a network of educators and advisors who share our approach. Here are two people who've been with us since the beginning.

Financial Education Coordinator

Callum spent twelve years working in retail banking before joining us. He got frustrated watching people sign up for products they didn't understand. Now he runs our core budgeting and debt management programs. His sessions are known for being brutally honest—in a helpful way.

Program Development Lead

Astrid designs all our educational content. She came from an adult education background and specializes in making complex topics digestible. She's the reason our materials actually make sense to people who've never looked at a financial statement before.

What We Stand For

Accessible Education First

Financial literacy shouldn't be reserved for people who can afford expensive advisors. We keep our programs affordable and run regular free community sessions because everyone deserves to understand how money works.

No Sales Pitch Ever

We don't sell financial products. We're not secretly trying to sign you up for loans or investment schemes. Our only goal is helping you make informed decisions with whatever financial situation you're in right now.

Ongoing Support Matters

Learning about finances isn't a one-time thing. We offer follow-up sessions and maintain a community where past participants can ask questions when new situations come up. Your financial life changes, and we're here when it does.

What's Next for Us

We're launching new programs in September 2025 focused on retirement planning for people in their 30s and 40s—something often overlooked until it's almost too late. We're also developing resources specifically for young families dealing with childcare costs and mortgage decisions.

Later in 2025, we're planning to expand our community workshops to include online options for people outside Canberra. Not everyone can make it to in-person sessions, and we want to reach people in regional areas who have even fewer resources available.

If you're interested in learning more about what we offer, you can reach us at our Belconnen location or send us an email. We're always happy to chat about whether our programs might be helpful for your situation.
